Love is all we need
We urgently need to raise £12,000 by the end of September to complete a secure 'children's village' which will include a food hall and medical centre. Once this is built, the Hope Centre will be able to distribute food and medicine to the rising numbers of vulnerable children fending for themselves. In the Sweetwaters community, up to 189 adults who are parents and carers, die, each week. In May 2007, we started supporting 1,275 orphaned children; that number has now risen to over 4,700 and is set to double, by the end of the year. This is your opportunity to help save lives. About Us
Love Is All We Need is a young, fun and vibrant charity (reg. no. 1116963), run entirely by volunteers. It is the brainchild of Londoner Marion Ancker. The idea was born when she was doing volunteer work in South Africa. Marion was teaching in a severe poor community, heavily affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. This became an inspiration and the drive. Soon after her return to London, she collected old computers from friends and local businesses in aid to establish an Education Centre. It became clear how a little love and commitment can make a huge difference.
