Naděžda Chrobáková was born in Ostrava, Czech Republic. After finishing the basic school in Karviná she studied the grammar school there. For 12 years she had been the pupil of the present Basic School of Arts of B. Smetana / violin, singing / and the member of the outstanding chorus Permoník under the leadership of the director Eva Šeinerová.
In 1994 - 1998 she was accepted to study solo singing in the department of art and pedagogy in Ostrava University, where Mgr. Janka Hoštáková - Drahovzalová taught her. Since 1998 she had been continuing her study in the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague / HAMU /, in the class of doc. Magdaléna Hajóssyová, where she took degree in December 2003. During that time N. Chrobáková took part in the master classes of interpretation in Karlovy Vary and Piešťany / Slovak Republic /. There she worked with doc. M. Hajóssyová, M. Blahušiaková /VŠMU /, Peter Mikuláš, Karel Petr and Gabriela Beňačková. In 1998 she won the first prize in The Anglo - Czecho - Slovak Trust Competition in London.
On the stage she performed the role of Helga from Z. Fibich´s opera Helga / cooperation of HAMU and Theatre of Ústí nad Labem / and then Fiordiligi in Mozart Scenes / HAMU /. After she repeatedly appeared in the role of Mrs. Grose in B. Britten´s opera The Turn of The Screw in State Opera of Prague. Then she sang Lidunka from V. Blodek´s opera V studni / HAMU / and also the role of Maria in B. Martinů´s The Miracles of Our Lady, which performance took place in the Theatre of Ústí nad Labem as well as in National Opera of Prague. In 2002 - 2003 N. Chrobáková sang Belinda and First Witch in H. Purcell´s Dido and Aeneas and Tresca in one - act comic opera of J. J. Fišer. She also performed role of Saffi in J. Strauss Gipsy Baron in various theathers in Czech Republic.
Except of classical operatic and lied repertoire she likes to sing vocal works of the 20th century and contemporary composers. In 2002 she sang Duo Meditativo by Ivana Loudová in live broadcast of the concert from the Czech Radio in Prague.
At the present N. Chrobáková makes regular concerts in Prague as well as in other places in Czech Republic. Her repertoire includes operatic, lied and oratorio vocal literature and moves from baroque till present. N. Chrobáková works mostly with the chamber orchestra Consonanza di Praga, Far Musica and other bodies like Prague Mozart Trio and Czech Collegium. Her last engagements apart from regular concerts were the solo part in A. Dvořák´s Mass in D-major at Choral Festival of A. Dvořák in Prague (June 2004 ) and the concert performance with the Orchestra of ČVUT in Hamburg (September 2004).
