A place to return to
2008-10-18It’s always the same phenomenon. But it never ceases to amaze you. It changes according to place and time. It has nothing to do with art and it repels the artist. The multiple reflections in the waves by the sea are magnificent.
The person I was staying with in England recommended a place in that part of the country where the sunsets are particularly colourful. Even though the weather had been desperate all day and the trip seemed completely pointless, here the weather always mellowed in the evening and a breathtaking iridescence set in….
Morecambe Bay ... a place where the light fades slowly.
